Today its' hard to find movie posters that demonstrate graphic design excellence. They weren't much better in the 1920s Soviet Union. After the Russian Revolution though, the Bolshevik party saw film as an important way to win over the masses, 60 percent of whom were illiterate, with propaganda. Foreign films were also popular. Brothers Vladimir and Georgil Stenberg created more than 100 posters to advertise these films.
