InDesign Project 1: Wild Times Zoo Flyer

 

You are to create a one page flyer for the Wild Times Zoo. 
Consider the following facts before designing your flyer:

• Here are be some zoo animals for you to download.

• The zoo doesn’t have an official logo. It is considering using a jungle font and possibly clip art to create a logo. I think we can do better than that. You will create a logo.

• A child’s ticket costs $9.00 and an adult ticket costs $12.00. Student tickets are also $9.00 with school ID. There is a military discount of 15% and Senior Citizen day at the zoo is Wednesday and admission is FREE to persons 65+.

• The zoo just opened a new primate exhibit (including monkeys, gorillas, etc.)

• The official zoo colors are orange, green, and yellow.

• The zoo is opened from October 15 to April 30 from 8am to 9pm. It is closed for the summer due to the heat.

 

Your final product will be graded based on the following rubric:

1. ______ / 10pts  Includes at least three pictures of the animals (with at least one shaped frame)

4. ______ / 10pts  Mentions primate exhibit

6. ______ / 10pts  Includes a logo with a jungle/animal theme

7. ______/  20pts  Uses good layout skills including contrast, balance, scale, etc.

8. ______/  20pts  Looks like an actual flyer for an actual zoo.
